Programma

Day 1 – Arrival in Ragusa Ibla

Individual arrival in Ragusa Ibla, the historic heart of Ragusa and one of Sicily’s most enchanting destinations. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002, Ragusa Ibla is famous for its spectacular Baroque architecture, charming streets, and elegant churches and palaces.

Day 2 – From Ragusa Ibla to Marina di Ragusa

45 km / +385 m

After receiving your bike, road book, and route briefing, you begin cycling toward the Sicilian coast. Your first highlight is the impressive Donnafugata Castle, a magnificent Neo-Gothic residence surrounded by gardens.

Continue downhill through beautiful countryside landscapes until you reach the seaside, passing the beaches of Punta Secca and arriving in Marina di Ragusa, a lively coastal town.

Day 3 – Marina di Ragusa to Modica

37 km / +575 m

Today’s ride follows the coastline to the charming fishing village of Donnalucata, perfect for a relaxing stroll along its small harbor.

Leaving the sea behind, you cycle inland to Scicli, another UNESCO-listed Baroque jewel, home to masterpieces like Palazzo Beneventano and the Church of San Bartolomeo.

The day ends in Modica, world-renowned for its stunning old town and traditional Sicilian chocolate.

Day 4 – Modica to Ispica

46 km / +520 m

Departing Modica, you ride through the peaceful countryside and discover the remarkable Cava d’Ispica, a dramatic canyon rich in ancient caves, sanctuaries, and archaeological sites.

Arriving in Ispica, you will admire the splendid Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and its famous Loggiato del Sinatra.

Day 5 – Ispica to Marzamemi

52 km / +270 m

Today you return to the coast, cycling alongside the golden beaches of Santa Maria del Focallo and the wetlands of Pantano Longarini and Pantano Baronello, a paradise for birdwatchers and nature lovers.

After passing near Capo Passero, you reach the postcard-perfect fishing village of Marzamemi, known for its seaside charm and historic tuna industry.

Day 6 – Marzamemi to Noto

50 km / +350 m

The route takes you through one of Sicily’s most beautiful natural areas: the Vendicari Nature Reserve, famous for pristine beaches, wildlife, and its historic tuna fishery (tonnara).

After a refreshing stop at Lido di Noto, you continue toward Noto, often called the Capital of Sicilian Baroque, celebrated for its grand cathedral and golden stone streets.

Day 7 – Noto to Siracusa

38 km / +250 m

On the final cycling stage, you ride toward Siracusa (Syracuse), one of the most elegant and historic cities in the Mediterranean.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2005, Syracuse offers an extraordinary blend of ancient history, stunning sea views, and cultural treasures. Explore both the modern city and Ortigia Island, the enchanting old town filled with lively squares and charming alleys.

For this tour, each bicycle comes equipped with one waterproof pannier bag (10–20 L) to carry your personal belongings. We recommend packing your items in a soft travel bag for easy fitting in the saddlebags.

For maximum comfort, you can add luggage transfer to your booking:

  • Your luggage is transported from one accommodation to the next by a private vehicle.

  • It will be delivered directly to your hotel before your arrival.

  • A day pannier bag is provided for essentials you need during your ride (included with bike rental).

  • If you expect to arrive before 5 p.m., we suggest packing an extra set of clothes for convenience.

Pro tip: Based on our experience, we strongly recommend avoiding backpacks during your cycling tour — using the saddlebags makes for a more comfortable ride and better balance.
