Day 1 – Arrival in San Vito Lo Capo
Welcome to San Vito Lo Capo, a charming seaside fishing village in Western Sicily. Famous for its long white sandy beach, the annual Cous Cous Fest, and its proximity to the stunning Zingaro Nature Reserve, this is the perfect starting point for your adventure.
Day 2 – Hiking in the Zingaro Nature Reserve
Walking tour (6 hours / +500 m)
Today you explore the spectacular Zingaro Nature Reserve, one of Sicily’s most beautiful protected areas. Starting from the northern entrance, you follow scenic trails through Mediterranean vegetation, cliffs, and hidden coves. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking sea views and the chance to swim in crystal-clear waters.
Day 3 – Cycling from San Vito Lo Capo to Trapani
65 km / +900 m
Your first cycling stage takes you along Sicily’s breathtaking western coastline. Ride past turquoise waters, historic Saracen watchtowers, and ancient tonnare (traditional tuna fisheries). A scenic and unforgettable day ending in the lively coastal town of Trapani.
Day 4 – Trapani to Marsala: Salt Pans and Windmills
50 km / +320 m
A relaxing ride along the sea, with stunning views of the famous Trapani salt flats and their iconic windmills. Optional visit to the small Punic island of Mozia, rich in archaeology and history. Arrive in Marsala, renowned worldwide for its legendary dessert wine—perfect for a winery visit.
Day 5 – Marsala to Mazara del Vallo
29 km / +100 m
Start your day with optional wine tasting or a stroll through Marsala’s historic center. You may also choose an excursion to the beautiful Egadi Islands. In the afternoon, enjoy an easy coastal ride to Mazara del Vallo, known for its Arab-influenced Kasbah and the famous bronze statue of the Dancing Satyr.
Day 6 – Cycling to Selinunte Archaeological Park
40 km / +220 m
Cycle through a mix of coastal landscapes, vineyards, and olive groves, with panoramic views over the sea and the Egadi Islands. Reach Selinunte, home to Europe’s largest archaeological park, where impressive Greek temples stretch across more than 1.3 km of ancient ruins.
Day 7 – Selinunte to Sciacca
38 km / +390 m
Your final cycling day leads to the enchanting seaside town of Sciacca. Famous for its colorful ceramics, thermal baths, religious traditions, and one of Sicily’s most important fishing harbors, Sciacca offers the perfect atmosphere to celebrate the end of your cycling journey.
Day 8 – Departure
After breakfast, departure and end of services.
