Day 1 – Arrival in Alba
Welcome to Alba, the heart of Piedmont’s wine country. After your individual arrival, you can take time to explore the charming old town, famous for its truffles, medieval towers, and vibrant food culture.
Day 2 – Alba to Manera (24–33 km)
Your first cycling stage takes you through an endless landscape of rolling vineyards producing some of the region’s most prestigious wines. Along the way, you’ll pass through picturesque Langhe villages such as Neive, known for its historic castle, and Barbaresco, with its iconic civic tower overlooking the Tanaro Valley.
Day 3 – Manera to Serralunga d’Alba (19 km)
Today you follow the scenic Romantic Road of Langhe and Roero, cycling along quiet country lanes and panoramic paths. Enjoy breathtaking vineyard views and charming hamlets perfect for a relaxing break. Your destination is Serralunga d’Alba, home to one of Piedmont’s finest and best-preserved 14th-century castles.
Day 4 – Serralunga to La Morra (22 km)
The day begins with a beautiful downhill ride into the Talloria Valley. For those interested, a detour to the impressive Grinzane Cavour Castle is possible. The route continues through Castiglione Falletto and reaches Barolo, the birthplace of Italy’s most celebrated red wine. Here, the castle hosts the renowned Wine Museum. The stage ends in La Morra, a spectacular hilltop village offering one of the best panoramic terraces in the Langhe.
Day 5 – La Morra to Cherasco (19–24 km)
Leaving the Langhe hills behind for a short time, you cross the Tanaro River and reach Cherasco, an elegant historic town set between two rivers. Its well-preserved center is rich in Baroque architecture and local traditions.
Day 6 – Cherasco to Alba (31 km)
Your final cycling day brings you back to Alba along an easy and enjoyable route. Highlights include a visit to Pollenzo, an ancient Roman settlement and home to the prestigious University of Gastronomic Sciences. Before returning to Alba, you may take a short detour to Roddi, a charming village dominated by its castle.
Day 7 – Departure
End of services after breakfast. Depart individually or extend your stay in Alba for more wine tasting and local discoveries.
