Programma

Day 1 – Arrival in Polignano a Mare

Welcome to Polignano a Mare, one of the most charming seaside towns in Puglia, often called the Pearl of the Adriatic. Famous for its dramatic cliffs, whitewashed historic centre, and stunning sea views, Polignano is the perfect starting point for your cycling holiday in Southern Italy.
Overnight stay in Polignano a Mare.

Day 2 – Polignano a Mare to Ostuni (55 km | +400 m)

After bike delivery and tour briefing, your cycling journey begins along the spectacular Adriatic coastline. You will soon reach Monopoli, a lively coastal town with a picturesque harbour and historic streets.

Continuing south, you will pass near the Archaeological Park of Egnazia, once an important Roman port. After Savelletri, the route turns inland through ancient olive groves, leading you to Ostuni, the famous White City of Puglia.
Overnight stay in Ostuni.

Day 3 – Ostuni to Brindisi (50 km | +180 m)

Today’s ride takes you through the peaceful countryside of Salento. Stop to explore Carovigno, a small medieval village, before cycling towards the Torre Guaceto Nature Reserve, one of the most beautiful protected coastal areas in Puglia.

A scenic seaside route will then bring you to Brindisi, a historic Mediterranean port city and crossroads of cultures since ancient times.
Overnight stay in Brindisi.

Day 4 – Brindisi to Lecce (48 km | +230 m)

Cycling through rural landscapes dotted with vineyards and olive trees, you will encounter the Archaeological Site of Valesio, an ancient Messapian and Roman settlement.

Along the way, you will pass Torchiarolo and the impressive Abbey of Santa Maria di Cerrate, a hidden medieval treasure. The day ends in Lecce, renowned as the Florence of the South for its extraordinary Baroque architecture, including the Basilica of Santa Croce.
Overnight stay in Lecce.

Day 5 – Lecce to Otranto (62 km | +250 m)

Leaving Lecce, you will soon reach the fortified village of Acaya, one of the best-preserved historical sites in the region.

The route continues through the heart of Grecìa Salentina, where traces of Greek culture and language are still alive. Passing through Martano, Carpignano, and Giurdignano—known for its ancient dolmens and menhirs—you will arrive in Otranto, Italy’s easternmost town.

Otranto is a jewel of the Adriatic coast, home to a magnificent cathedral and rich history.
Overnight stay in Otranto.

Day 6 – Otranto to Santa Maria di Leuca (55 km | +430 m)

On the final cycling stage, you will ride along traditional dry-stone walls and discover charming villages such as Uggiano La Chiesa, Tricase, and Gagliano del Capo.

Your journey ends at Santa Maria di Leuca, located at the southern tip of Puglia, where the Adriatic and Ionian Seas meet. A truly unforgettable finish to your bike tour along the Via Francigena in Italy.
